“Eat Well. Eat with purpose. “
by Chloe is a wonderful healthy vegan spot in Silverlake for a casual healthy meal. The offerings are tasty, bright and colorful and of course delicious! It’s the kind of place to meet friends or a comfortable place to dine in by yourself. There are table groupings inside as well as individual yellow stools counter style for single diners. After eating here your non vegan friends will enjoy their meal just as much as you.
The Silverlake location is their first location on the West Coast. This is a definite stop for hungry millennials. The mastermind and founding chef extraordinaire of the healthy, clean and trend setting vegan menu is Chef Chloe Coscarelli. She has written numerous cookbooks and is the first vegan chef to win Food Network Cupcake Wars (she is no longer part of the by Chloe company.)
The ambiance inside of by Chloe is modern, millennial friendly and is stylish while being unpretentious. The swinging cushioned rattan chairs that you can sink into is a good place to relax in while you are waiting. In addition, the extensive menu not only covers the range of breakfast items, lunch entrees, juices, beverages but delicious desserts and ice cream as well. To go bags, menus, trays and pop up ice cream on a stick are all carefully designed within the fun by Chloe branding.
Best of all by Chloe (no cash accepted, card only) is connected to Whole Foods 365 if afterwards you need to stock up on organic fruit and veggies. There is an outside separate sidewalk entrance into by Chloe or you can exit or enter through Whole Foods 365 just passed the extensive selection of wrapped beautiful fresh flowers.
Some of my favorites are:
The Guac Burger: black bean-quinoa-sweet-potato-patty, guac, corn salsa, lettuce, tomato, onion, tortilla strips, chipotle aioli on a gluten free bun
Air Baked Fries: Gluten Free Original or Sweet Potato
Smashed Avocado Toast: Market vegetable, almond palm on gluten free bread
The Non-Dairy Frozen Chill desserts (all gluten free): PB + J w/ grape jelly swirl
by CHLOE. has a selection of gluten-free offerings clearly labeled on the menu. While by CHLOE. is proud to offer menu items with gluten-free ingredients, by CHLOE. is not a gluten-free environment. “Due to the handcrafted nature of the menu and use of shared cooking and prep areas, we cannot assure you that our restaurant environment or any menu item will be completely free of gluten.”
