It’s been raining so much here in sunny Southern California! It is time to break out my favorite raincoats and umbrella.
I love my yellow hooded rain slicker by Maison Jules. The sizing is perfect for petites especially in the arm length and shoulders. The inside lining of blue and white polka dots will have you dancing in the rain along with the clear whimsical Rain Check umbrella from Kate Spade. This umbrella provides both protection and visibility!
Another one of my favorite coats is the olive green trench from Bebe. I love the millennial take on the traditional trench coat with the woven back details and flared bottom. Check out these other fashionable spring trenches and coats from Bebe online or through Poshmark. The patterns, details and colors are perfect for millennials. The sizing is also petite friendly and has a slim silhouette. For this coat I had the sleeves hemmed.
Raincoats & Trench Coats
I accessorized the looks with the Voyage Croc Black Camera Crossbody Bag from Moda Luxe. I like how the entire compact purse zips up so things do not get wet or fall out. My black booties with the block heel help getting around quickly too.
The iconic movie musical classic Singing in the Rain starring Gene Kelly brought the yellow rain slicker, fedora and trench coat into the fashion forefront. These items are still timeless fashion staples today. Spencer Liff, EMMY® nominated and resident choreography of Fox’s So You Think You Can Dance is the creative dance impresario (Director/Choreographer) behind this newest stage production of Singing In The Rain at the La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts (April 9-May 12). I am looking forward to Liff’s flavorful innovative choreography and interpretation while remaining true to the traditional heartbeat of the show.
If you appreciate tap dance then check out Dorrance Dance ETM: Double Down at Segerstrom Center for the Arts (Segerstrom Hall) on Friday May 3 at 7:30pm. A musical score is triggered by fabulous footwork & electronic tap boards.
