National Dance Day Routine with Comfort Fedoke
Various Workshops
Celebrate the 10th year of National Dance Day on September 21st, 2019!
National Day is the third Saturday in September each year.
“Dance is for everybody and EVERY BODY!”
Nigel Lythgoe (American Dance Movement co-founder, So You Think You Can Dance) and Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton established National Dance Day to celebrate creativity, exercise and artistic expression through dance. The day encourages Americans to embrace dance as a fun and positive way to maintain good health
“This year, National Dance Day returns to Segerstrom Center for the Arts as its official West Coast home. Join us on the Julianne and George Argyros Plaza for a celebration of all things dance. The day will feature live performances by special guest artists, fully inclusive and interactive dance lessons in a wide variety of dance styles, food for purchase, and the opportunity to learn this year’s official National Dance Day routine.”
This FREE community event is for all ages and all abilities!
Looking Ahead: If you are a fan of dance there are upcoming tours. ABC’s Dancing with the Stars Season 28 airs Monday at 8pm. The DWTS tour dates have just been announced for stops during March in Costa Mesa at Segerstrom Center for the Arts and San Diego (on sale 9/23).
