Dress: Aqua Ruched Velvet Green Dress. I love this dress for Petites because it fits smaller. The color is beautiful and the material is lightweight. The ruching in the front and the back adds style to the silhouette. This emerald green color also reminds me of the green velvet dress Judy Garland wore in the movie Easter Parade.

Necklace: Kendra Scott Kacey Gold Long Pendant Necklace In Emerald Cat’s Eye. I love how this necklace has an adjustable length to fit this v-neck dress. It does not have a clasp but goes over your head. “With a delicate sloping silhouette and long chain, this Gold long pendant necklace makes a statement whether on its own or layered up.” The emerald color picks up the light around it making it a statement piece.
Faux Fur Stole: Ann Taylor Diamond Stitch Faux Fur Stole in Winter Emerald Color. I was delighted to find this stole to cover my neck and chest to add warmth. The faux fur feels luxurious.

Dress: Francesca’s Kailynn Star Godet Dress. This dress has sizing that starts in XXS. I saw this dress and was reminded of Glinda from the movie version of The Wizard of Oz. Billy Burke as Glinda wears a beautiful blush dress with stars on it.
Necklace: Francesca’s Audra Linked Star Choker
Zippered Pouch: Fringe Studio Glinda Power All Along Pouch. One of Glinda’s most famous lines from the movie The Wizard of Oz is to Dorothy at the end of her Oz adventures. When Dorothy exclaims that she does not know how she will get home Glinda responds with “You’ve always had the power, my dear, you just had to learn it for yourself.” Fringe Studio also sells the saying on a pink journal and stoneware tray.

I am filled with gratitude for all the blessings, friendships and joy of this year. Thank you, God, for a time of year to celebrate Jesus!
Have a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays with friends and family celebrating!
Every year for the holidays my family goes to Coronado. L. Frank Baum (author of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz) has been said to have drawn inspiration to write the book series from his many travels there between 1904-1910. Baum also designed the crown chandeliers in the famous Crown Room at the Hotel Del. The hotel’s castle-like turrets inspired the Emerald City setting. Baum’s historic Coronado home can still be visited (1101 Star Park Circle). Visitors can go to the Coronado Museum of History and Art (1100 Orange Avenue) to see the three First Editions Oz books by Baum. In addition, book the “author’s room” at the 1906 Lodge at Coronado Beach for a special Oz decorated room.
